i really enjoy these images, its interesting because while each image shows motion itself it almost shows a sequence of motion thats kinda cool. you really captured the motion and moment of something we all use every day and never really pay to much attention to. we all turn the sink on and we never really think about the motion and this really freezes that moment and shows the motion of the water very well. I really enjoy the last two the most, the last one for sure is the strongest, its so cool to see the drop frozen in time and not happen in an instant.
I think these three images work really well in a series— they're all stylistically subject-wise very consistent. The images are not so obviously of a sink stopper, but the water is a clue that leads the viewer to deduce that it is indeed some part of a sink. It's a good trick you have shown in these images. I also love how the water is a way that distorts the sink and converts it into something that we're not used to seeing, or something that we never really pay attention to in day-to-day life. Awesome images!
I agree with the statements above in that these images work very well together in a series. Initially, I was slightly confused by what the image was of, but I enjoy the ambiguity and after realizing the delta is a stopper I can still wonder whether this is of a sink or of a tub. Technically speaking you definitely completed this assignment's goals. Your series works well together and each image captures motion but from a different perspective of the same action, which is a cool theme. I wonder if the water was your subject or the metal and relationship between that and the water is your subject. You played around with different compositions of the same concept, which is cool. Choosing to zoom in further on the second image emphasizes the motion of the water hitting the plug. It might have been cool to choose and image that shows the water just as it hits the plug! The last image is very strong compositionally as well, very mirrored from the left to right side. I like the single drop of water just as it leave the sink. I really like that in all of the photos the background is white, it leaves the viewer to focus only on the water and sink, and the reflection the water makes of the white is very captivating as well. It might have been nice for either your first or second image to get the sink or tub from a different angle just because those two images are very similar whereas the last image shows a different aspect of this motion, so maybe showing the sink from all above or the side would have added a little more to the set. All of these images work together to give your series a clear content to depict the motion of water from a sink and the relationship with the sink and the plug. Playing around with different angles and zooms helps add to your intent. Great job, I really enjoy this set!
Great imagery captured in time! Some really fun water explorations here. The first two images seem very similar to each other both in composition and content. I wonder if instead of two pictures showing the "Delta" drain, one of the photos just showed suspended water, sort of telling us a timeless story. Compositionally I appreciate how you cropped out the circles creating a dynamic central energy. I think your middle image is most successful shoeing the stream of water being transformed by it's surroundings into continuous rings - well done. Your third image is also Compositionally strong and has the viewer literally on edge as we wonder and wait to see if the droplet will fall. Technically, I wished the droplet was in focus bad I think that would have strengthened your photo. All together very good creative explorations of movement.
I think your choice to capture the water drops is interesting and you executed it extremely well. I feel that the last two photos are stronger than the first because they are perfectly timed to capture a specific action. The tight framing of the second photo emphasizes the ripples of the water, so I felt that was an aesthetically strong concept. The third photo is also perfectly timed for when the water drop was just about to descend from the faucet. I assumed that took many tries to get it at the right second but it paid off. The shadow in the background adds a nice touch as well. The only thing that could be fixed is the reflection of the flash at the top of the faucet. I feel that the bright circle distracts from the water drop. The third photo is also interesting because of the drops bouncing off the sink, but there are only a few small drops. If there was more water drops at differing heights it could have been stronger, but overall I find these photos very well done and interesting for three different reasons. Great job, can't wait to see more of your work!
I love your choice of water. Water gives you so many different shapes and looks, you never know hat you might get (in my Forrest Gump voice). In all seriousness i love the clean look that you get with the silver up against the stainless steel fixtures. I tried to get some pics of water, but none of mine turned out as good as yours. All three pictures are consistent with each other< which makes your pics stand out even more. I like the third pic the best, because you caught the dripping of the water just as it was about to fall. excellent shot! I like how you zoomed in on the delta signature in the second pic. Its like how from the first to the second you zoom in closer, and gives me the feeling that I'm walking up or zooming in with my own eyes.
